Behringer Wing Digital Mixing Console
View on Amazon

I have recently started using the Behringer Wing console, coming from the X32 and the added possibilities with it are well worth it. I have several videos on my YouTube channel about the Wing.

Behringer X32 Digital Mixing Console (Several Versions Available)
X32-Full – View on Amazon
X32 – Compact – View on Amazon
X32 – Producer – View on Amazon

The X32 changed the game with digital consoles when it came out. If you can’t afford the Wing, I still use this to this day at several of our churches, and at the price point, it provides almost every feature you would want or need unless you have a very unique situation. Every version can do the same thing, and handle the same amount of inputs/outputs. The full gives you access to the most faders at once, the compact has less faders on the surface, and the producer is mountable in a rack case. It can do 32 mono inputs + 8 aux ins. You can control up to 40 mono input/faders total. You can multi track record via USB, and also get a Dante card for it (see below).

Behringer 16/32 Channel Digital Snake

16 Channel Version – View on Amazon

This is snake I use the most. In several of my applications I have 2 of these chained together. Tutorials available on my YouTube channel. Compatible with all Behringer MIxers (X32, Wing) and also the Midas M32. 16 and 32 channel versions are available.

16 Channel Version – View on Amazon

This is essentially the same as the S32, but with better pre-amps. Tutorials available on my YouTube channel. Compatible with all Behringer MIxers (X32, Wing) and also the Midas M32. 16 and 32 Channel Versions are available.

Behringer P16-M Digital Personal Monitor
16 Channel Monitor – View on Amazon
Distribution Hub – View on Amazon

I use these constantly. They are great for what they are. They work without anything else with all Behringer stuff – like the X32 and Wing. They give 16 channels of personal mixing for a band member, replacing a stage wedge. Use the distribution hub to connect up to 8 without any power or daisy chaining (the hub gives PoE).

Dante AVIO Audio Adapters

These are great for getting analog audio in/out of your Dante network. I use them to get timecode into my lighting console, audio into my live stream, etc.

Behringer U-Phoria UM2 USB Audio Interface

There are a lot of ways to get analog audio into a computer via USB, this is just one of the adapters I use that’s on the budget friendly side.

Decklink Duo 2 Video Input/Output Card
View on Amazon

This works to get SDI video & audio in or out of your computer. On a mac, you need a USB C enclosure as well, found below. I use this exclusively for ProPresenter to support the outputs I need. This card has provided me with rock solid outputs.

Sonnet Echo Express SE I

This enclosure allows your mac to connect to PCIe cards, like the Decklink Duo 2. There are several versions of this enclosure, I’ve included links above to one that holds one card, and another that holds 3. They all make others that fit different sizes, so make sure you get the full-height version. I usually several of these every week and they are rock solid.

Elgato Stream Deck
15 button – View on Amazon
32 button – View on Amazon
6 button – View on Amazon

This is one of the most versatile pieces of gear that I use. Through the third party software: Bitfocus Companion, you can control almost everything you will have in your production environment.

I use these for two primary reasons: Blackmagic ATEM Video Switcher controllers, and also as a one stop shop controller for myself at Front of House to have quick button control over every aspect of the daily production at the push of a button in front of me.

I control the following items that I use every week: ProPresenter 7, Blackmagic ATEM Video Switcher, Blackmagic Video Hub, GrandMA 2 Lighting console, Madmapper Lighting Software, Lightkey Lighting Software, Multitracks Playback. I have several tutorials on making all of this work on my YouTube channel: Technically Church Stream Deck Playlist

Blackmagic Design Micro Converter
SDI to HDMI – View on Amazon
HDMI to SDI – View on Amazon
Bi-Directional – View on Amazon

This converter converts SDI signal to HDMI, HDMI to SDI and also the bi-directional version does both in one converter. I use 100+ of these throughout my environment every week. They are the perfect adapter for the cost to convert these types of video signals. They can be used outside of a Blackmagic environment, and they also transport audio.

Apple USB C to HDMI Adapter
View on Amazon

There are cheaper adapters out there, but I can tell you first hand I’ve been burned way too many times by them. When using Apple products, I only buy certain adapters that have proven to be reliable every time in a production environment. This is one of them. It’s simple… it gets you HDMI out when you need it. It will also give you back your USB C port in addition to a USB A port as well.

Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Video Switcher
View on Amazon

Blackmagic makes several video switchers. This specific one I use the most, it’s a great balance between the smallest, least feature packed, and the largest. For me, it’s the most versatile for most of our church locations that don’t need every bell and whistle. It accepts 10 inputs.

Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro Video Switcher
HDMI Version – View on Amazon
SDI Version – View on Amazon

This is the smallest and most affordable video switcher Blackmagic makes. It comes in a HDMI and SDI version. It’s great at this price point for just about anything, as long as you don’t need more than 4 sources. It works as a great little input switcher, but also has a great audio system, keyer and many other high end features! The USB C port acts as a webcam when you plug into a computer as well.
